Cambridge www.visitcambridge.org is 20 miles away with its University and the unforgettable King's College www.kings.cam.ac.uk. Why not try a bus tour around the city and complete the day with a punt down the river.

Only a short drive from Cambridge is Ely Cathedral with its magnificent stained glass windows

The Duxford Imperial War Museum www.duxford.iwm.org.uk is an exciting and memorable day out. The B17 Flying Fortress, SR-71 Blackbird, F111 and as well as the unforgettable Spitfire and Concorde are only a few of the many planes at this museum. Regular Air Shows are held during the year
   
Not far from the charming town of Saffron Walden is the Jacobean mansion Audley End House www.english-heritage.org.uk set in a Capability Brown designed parkland. Audley End offers musical evenings with fireworks during the summer.
